Agudio ropeways, the evolution of species

Nowadays, Agudio ropeways represent the highest expression of this sector technology, with completely automated systems which do not need personnel for material loading and unloading operations and can guarantee a high level performance.

Inside the stations, the buckets are controlled by mechanical and electronic components (rails, levers, rollers, motors, sensors and actuators) which, synchronized by a sophisticated control system, ensure the system correct operation and safety.

Agudio can design new ropeways or revamp existing ones to improve their automation level and comply with the highest standards in terms of safety, reliability and efficiency.

Double and mono-cable systems

According to the capacity required and the type of route, Agudio can design ropeways using one single carrying-hauling rope or double cable ropeways, where a carrying rope supports the buckets and a hauling rope controls their movement.

Loading of material

The material loading inside the buckets is designed according to the Customer’s needs, the handling and storage equipment at the top of the ropeway and the system capacity. For ropeways with limited capacity, a fixed loading system can be used, generally positioned on the station perimeter, while for higher capacity ropeways, a rotating loading system is used positioned in the middle of the station.

Unloading of material

The type of bucket and therefore the loading of the material in the station mainly depend on the type of material and its physical features. The bucket can be designed so that material unloading is carried out by opening the bucket bottom or by rotating the bucket itself. After unloading, it is possible to create a station for the bucket cleaning, as well as one for storage and washing.

Synchronizing

The distinctive feature of Agudio ropeways is the high level of automation, a mix of hardware and software where the variation in the system capacity is mainly achieved by adjusting the haul rope speed through the automatic synchronizing of all the operations in the stations.
